The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection intends to regulate the procedure for providing days off to salary earners in emergencies and to one of the parents for looking after children throughout the suspension of the education process. The bill that is being drafted will amend the Labor Code, IPN reports.

Days away from work will be provided if the education process is halted owing to unfavorable weather conditions or in extreme situations that lead to the suspension of the education process in education institutions together with the ordering of special measures by the authorities to ensure security, protection of the life and health of the population.

The authorities also aim to organize a new juridical institution that would enable the employers to more flexibly manage the human resources during the contraction of economic activities owing to emergency situations.
