The Parliament’s Standing Bureau will today consider the request to convene an extraordinary session of Parliament for January 17-18 due to the need to urgently adopt a series of normative documents, IPN reports.
The Parliament’s Communication and Public Relations Division said that the normative documents that are to be examined regulate issues related to the assessment of institutional integrity, the justice sector reform, the electoral legislation and political parties
The application submitted to the Standing Bureau by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu also underlines the need to examine draft normative documents of social, economic and political importance for the Republic of Moldova.
Parliament has two ordinary sessions yearly. The spring session begins in February. If Parliament is not in ordinary session, it may meet in extraordinary or special session at the request of the President of the country, the Speaker or one third of the MPs
