The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Luminița Odobescu said the Republic of Moldova initiated a program of ambitious reforms and started a historic journey towards European integration. And these efforts must be continued, while the partner states must help Moldova’s Government because this would mean the success of all. A stable and democratic Republic of Moldova will ensure stability in the entire region. The statements were made at the fifth edition of the Moldovan Partnership Platform held on Tuesday in Chisinau, IPN reports.

“In the past year, we have seen impressive results. But this progress must continue. Together we must help the Republic of Moldova. We must prepare the country for integration into the European Unio so as to strengthen democratic governance and the rule of law, to improve the business environment in order to attract investments, which, in turn, will create jobs to improve social assistance and generate prosperity for every citizen. These are the new tasks for us,” noted Luminița Odobescu.

Romania is shoulder to shoulder with the Republic of Moldova. “We will work together to expand connectivity in the energy sector, infrastructure and the digital sector. It also goes to new, improved voltage lines, expansion of roaming and many other investments needed to generate growth and prosperity in the Republic of Moldova and to strengthen its energy security. Also, direct contributions are made for the country’s integration into the EU single market,” said the Romanian official.

Romania will remain firmly committed to working with all the partners under the umbrella of the Moldova Partnership Platform. This format, according to Luminița Odobescu, demonstrated its value and relevance in terms of strategic guidance, improved coordination, resource mobilization, as well as the ensuring of political, financial and technical support. At the same time, following the conference, the members of the Platform will strengthen cooperation to support Moldova.
