SS-4 Tiraspol wins women’s Football Cup of Moldova

The team of the Sports School (SS) No.4 from Tiraspol won the 2013 women’s Football Cup of Moldova. In the June 5 final played in Orhei, the team trained by Victor Senic beat the country’s champion Goliador-SS-11-Real Chisinau 5-4 in overtime, IPN reports.

The first half was balanced, with both of the team focusing more on the defense. Things changed in the second half. In the 68th minute, Anastasia Toma scored a goal for Goliador, but Carolina Tabur tied towards the end of the game.

Rita Panova, the goalkeeper of the team from Tiraspol, defended well the goal, helping her team to win Moldova’s Cup for the second time. To date, Narta Chisinau has won three cups, while Noroc Nimoreni and CS Goliador Chisinau by one cup.

The men’s Football Cup of Moldova also went to Transnistria this year, to FC Tiraspol.
