Sports ground and ludotherapy room donated to school on 40th anniversary

The Chisinau-based auxiliary boarding school No. 5 for children with mental disabilities is celebrating its 40th anniversary. On this occasion, it received a playground, a sports ground and a ludotherapy room from an NGO as presents, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The school’s administration and the Association “Filocalia” waited for the project to be approved. By coincidence, the ludotherapy room and the grounds were opened the same day the school marked its anniversary,” said Corina Ershov, spokeswoman for “Filocalia”. The ludotheque (games library) is adjusted to the special needs of the school’s children. The teachers will be additionally trained to apply ludotherapy, while the NGO’s volunteers will spend the free time with these children. On its anniversary, the school staged a festivity and set up an exhibition of handicrafts. The school’s head Anatol Tirnau said that all the works were made by students of the two specialized classes of the institution. A number of 85 students aged between 7 and 18 study at the auxiliary boarding school No. 5. Some of them come on Monday and go home on Friday, while others come daily. A part of the students are orphans.
