The SMEs will benefit from support for re-equipment of businesses and increasing of energy efficiency. A relevant support program was launched by the Agency for Entrepreneurship Development, IPN reports.
“Through the agency of this program, the small and medium-sized enterprises will benefit from non-reimbursable assistance from the state in the amount of 50% of the value of the investment project, but not more than 2 million lei, or 1.5 million lei for equipment and installations for producing renewable energy that will ensure the reduction of electricity consumption by at least 15% compared with the existing consumption,” stated Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița.
Among the systems that the state is ready to finance are the solar panels with heating systems, photovoltaic systems for producing electrical energy, mini-Aeolian installations for producing electricity, equipment for making biogas, thermal heating systems.
“The Government confirms it is near entrepreneurs. The budget for programs implemented through our organization was supplemented with another 200 million lei. The money will go also to re-equipment and energy efficiency programs,” said the acting director of the Agency for Entrepreneurship Development Dumitru Pîntea.
“The re-equipment and energy efficiency are priorities for our national businesses. The program launched today will help us to put the ideas into practice. We call on the entrepreneurs to benefit from the conditions of the program, to access the funds that are made available and to develop the business by reequipping it,” stated Minister of Economy Sergiu Gaibu.
The re-equipment and energy efficiency program supported by the Government will last for three years and could be extended. A sum of 55 million lei was allocated in 2022 for its implementation. An important condition for taking part in the program is for the founders of the enterprise to be citizens of the Republic of Moldova and to own at least 75% of the assets of the enterprise/business.
