A recreational area for children to read, play and watch TV was set up at the Neurosurgery and Associated Traumas Section of the Municipal Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenco” of Chisinau, IPN reports.
The investment in laying out the area was made by a pharmaceutical company. “Investing in the health of children, we invest in the nation’s future. Such donations are welcome,” said the hospital’s director Alexandru Holostenco.
Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Stela Grigoras said a child-friendly environment was created to distract the children’s attention from their health problems. The example of social responsibility given by the investor shows that when private businesses combine forces with the public institutions, the results are the best.
“We decided to invest in this area so that the children have where to spend time and communicate. I call on the business entities to follow our example,” said the pharmaceutical company’s director Vasile Cazacu.
In the ceremony to inaugurate the recreational area, the same company donated the first illustrated books for children.
