Speeding was too much to handle for two young men who had obtained their driver’s license only recently. Both accidents occurred this morning, July 21, and were deadly. The first happened in Drochia district, near Pelinia village, and the other in Causeni. Deputy Commissar of Drochia district Ghenadie Floreac told Info-Prim Neo that the 18 year old driver was speeding and misjudged a curve. He lost control of the wheel and crashed into a tree. The collision killed the 17 year old passenger. He died immediately, while the driver was taken to the Drochia District Hospital. The two friends were going to the Balti Market. The other accident occurred on the Batar – Chircaiestii Noi road, in Causeni district. According to the Traffic Police Department, the 29 year old driver was speeding on a gravel road. The vehicle skidded and rolled over. The driver and his passenger, a 24 year old man, were hospitalized in critical condition. After a few hours, the driver passed away. He had obtained his driver’s license only 4 months ago.
