A man aged 48 from Lipcani town of Briceni district was struck fatally by a car traveling on the Chisinau-Odessa route, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, the accident happened near Caracuseni village of Briceni district. The driver was speeding and lost control of the car. The victim was going along the footway.
A number of 514 traffic accidents have occurred in Moldova this year. They resulted in 49 deaths and 509 persons injured.
