A 30-year-old man from Carpesti, Cantemir was killed in a road accident that was the result of speeding in the evening of June 3. The head of the Cantemir Traffic Police Division Victor Butuc has told Info-Prim Neo that the car driven by the young man overturned at a turn not far from Baimaclia village at about 22:00. Two passengers aged 19 and 22 were taken to the hospital. The 22-year-old passenger was the driver’s brother-in-law, while the other man was a friend of his. They both suffered head injuries. The same day, a Vaz 2107 car collided with a Toyota Hiace when changing lanes in Rascani district at about 20:45. A minor aged 17 was killed. The head of the Rascani Traffic Police Division Valeriu Costas said the driver who caused the accident is 18 and was issued with a diver’s license three months ago. He suffered only shock. He was the cousin of the boy who died. The driver of the Toyota aged 53 sustained minor injuries.
