Experts of the public utility SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” (ACC) daily test the quality of water by determining over 25 physical-chemical and bacteriological parameters. Last year, there were taken 186,000 samples of water and performed 406,000 tests to establish the given parameters, IPN reports.
In a press release, the supplier said the quality of water is monitored at two labs – the Nistru Water Station Laboratory and the Drinking Water Laboratory. A number of 37 validated analytical methods are used to determine the sanitary-hygienic indicators.
The quality of water in the treatment process and in the public drinking water supply system is tested monthly to determine the parameters defined in the regulations, in accordance with the sampling and lab testing schedules approved by the Chisinau Public Health Center.
The results of the physical-chemical and bacteriological examinations of the samples of water taken from the centralized water supply system are published quarterly on the website of ACC.
The supplier calls on the consumers to inform about the irregularities identified in the centralized water supply and sewerage system and indicate contact data so that all the necessary measures could be taken.
