More and more yards of apartment buildings now have new and safe playgrounds. The General Housing and Amenities Division said that sidewalk building works are also carried out near the playgrounds. Curbs and, if necessary, urban furniture are installed, IPN reports.
In total, by the end of this year, the Division aims to put up 120 playgrounds of different sizes. The addresses where the playgrounds are located or where new playgrounds will be built are selected according to the requests made by dwellers, in coordination with the district head’s offices.
"We note that dozens of spaces for children were set up in all the districts in the recent past within the municipal program to build and lay out playgrounds," reads a press release of the Division.
The General Housing and Amenities Division noted that there are still many addresses in the capital city where playgrounds are needed, but the authorities act within possibilities.
