Special commission will look for those affected in April 2009 events

Prime Minister Vlad Filat informed at the opening of Wednesday's meeting of the Government that a commission was set up to identify the victims of the April 2009 events, Info-Prim Neo reports. The commission will be headed by Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase. The Premier said it is necessary to identify all the victims and decide how they can be compensated for the damage caused to them. The Prosecutor General's Office (PG) Wednesday called on the victims and witnesses of those events to present themselves at the prosecution division of the PG, situated at 73 Stefan cel Mare Blvd. The call is addressed mainly to those who had been in Chisinau's central square between 23:00 (07.04.2009) and 00:30 (08.07.2009) and know objective circumstances that can help identify the offenders, the PG says in a communique.
