The Speaker of Parliament, Igor Grosu, expressed concern today, upon leaving the polling station, regarding the organized transportation of voters. Grosu noted that “criminal groups are not backing down” and that there is already information on attempts to transport voters through charter flights to Belarus and Turkey, reports IPN.

“The police and all responsible institutions will document all cases of voter corruption and organized transportation, whether it involves those from the left bank of the Dniester or those from abroad, especially from the eastern region,” added the Speaker of Parliament.

Igor Grosu urged citizens to turn out in large numbers to vote, emphasizing that voter turnout has been quite strong in this second round.

“I voted, as I did last time, for the future of this country, for the future of our families and all Moldovans, for peace, prosperity, and a European future,” stated the Speaker.
