Speaker Igor Grosu to visit Bucharest

Speaker Igor Grosu will pay an official visit to Bucharest at the invitation of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament, Ludovic Orban. Igor Grosu will attend the opening ceremony of the second session of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies, which will take place on September 1, 2021.

According to a Parliament press release, the Moldovan Speaker will meet with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and Romanian Senate President Anca Dragu. They will discuss issues related to the existing dialogue as well as about strengthening the partnership between the two countries through new joint activities and projects.

The Moldovan Parliament delegation will include: Doina Gherman, chair of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration; Vladimir Bolea, chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Food Industry; Dumitru Alaiba, chair of the Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance; Lilian Carp, chair of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Public Order; Larisa Voloh, chair of the Committee on Public Administration; Veronica Rosca, vice-chair of the Legal Committee on Appointments and Immunities; Petru Frunze, vice-chair of the Committee on Public Administration, chair of the Romanian-Moldovan Joint Committee on European Integration; Virgiliu Pâslariuc, vice-chair of the Committee on Culture, Education, Research, Youth, Sport and the Media; Ana Racu, vice-chair of the Committee on Human Rights and Interethnic Relations and Ina Coșeru, vice-chair of the Committee on the Environment and Regional Development.
