The dialogue announced by Head of Parliament Andrian Candu with representatives of protesters for January 25 didn’t take place. The Parliament’s press service didn’t provide information about the holding of a meeting, while protesters’ leaders said they haven’t been invited at least, IPN reports.

In a news conference last weekend, Andrian Candu said that he is ready to have a dialogue with the leaders of the protesting people and asked that these should provide an analysis with a juridical view and all the legal arguments concerning the method by which protesters’ leaders suggest generating early parliamentary elections. The Speaker said that a discussion with protesters’ leaders will take place on January 25.

Contacted by IPN, Vasile Nastase, one of the leaders of the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth”, said they weren’t contacted by Andrian Candu to be invited to a meeting or discussion.

The press service of the Political Party “Our Party” disseminated a statement by the party’s leader Renato Usatyi, who says that no dialogue with the current government is now possible because this government is illegitimate and early legislative elections must be provoked.
