A batch of 150 computers from South Korea is expected to arrive in Moldova early in September as part of a memorandum of cooperation signed two years ago and providing for a total assistance of 450 computers to be given to Moldovan schools.

Under the memorandum, 150 computers were already delivered last year. The PCs were distributed to public schools in 10 districts.

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research said in a press release that Deputy Minister Lilia Pogolșa met with a delegation from the South Korean province of Jeju, on a visit in Chisinau, to discuss the extension of the memorandum.

Earlier, under the memorandum 40 computer science teachers received specific training, with 30 others to undergo similar training during August 15-17.

The memorandum of cooperation between the Moldovan Ministry of Education and the Special Governmental Office for Education of South Korea’s Jeju Province was signed in September 2015 for a period of three years.
