Adriana Sosnovski lost the final of the ITF Pro Circuit tournament held in Chisinau. The 18-year-old player was beaten by Romania’s Ilona Georgiana Ghioroaie 3-6, 0-6 after 1 hour and 7 minutes of play, IPN reports.
Ghioroaie, who is 18 too, also won the first ITF Pro Circuit tournament that took place in Chisinau last week. “I didn’t expect I will win both of these tournaments as I returned after suffering an injury. It was a pleasant surprise for me,” Ilona Ghioroaie told a news conference.
The doubles were won by the Ukrainian pair Veronika Kapshay and Angelina Shakhraychuk, who beat the favorites of the competition, Kyra Shroff of India and Estelle Cascino of France, 6-3, 3-6, 10-4.
