Soroca-Tsekinovka border crossing points reopened

The ferry border crossing points Soroca-Tsekinovka (interstate and local) resumed work in the morning of August 1. The Border Police said the Cosauti-Iampoli border crossing point remains closed given the high level of water in the Nistru, IPN reports.

The Soroca-Tsekinovka border crossing points stopped work in the morning of July 31.

The State Hydrometeorological Service said that following the increase in the volume of water discharged from the Dubasari accumulation lake by about 850 m³/s, the level of water in the Nistru on the section between Grigoriopol town and Talmaza village will rise by 0.4 - 1.2 m, while on the section between  Talmaza village and Palanca village by 0.5 - 1 m until August 4. There is no risk of floods.
