Soroca school took fire

The building of the Rubelnita Theoretic Lyceum in Soroca district has been partly destroyed by flames. The fire was caused by short-circuit in the garret of the building.
According to the head of the Fire-fighters and Rescuers Division, Anatolie Viniciuc, the ceiling covered by flames collapsed over the sports room and other eight classrooms.
Vehicles with firemen and rescuers from Floresti and Soroca were dispatched to fight the fire. The accident affected a total surface of 1700 sq m.
According to official accounts, 2,150 fires occurred in Moldova since the start of the year, including 100 this month. They claimed 133 lives, including of eight children.
