Democrat MP Valentina Stratan wrote on a social network account that she was contacted by someone who told her a new group would be formed in the Parliament by MPs who would defect from the Liberal-Democrats, the Democrats and the Liberal-Reformists, and she was invited to join, IPN reports.
Valentina Stratan said it wasn't the first time she heard about this. “I fear its goal is to deprive the coalition of the parliamentary majority so that it will not be able to pass the Association Agreement with the EU and other important bills”, writes the MP.
“I call upon the MPs tempted by this trap to think about the consequences of such a step that would betray the mandate we have and the future of Moldova. Sooner of later, the truth will be known and they will be held accountable before the people!”.
Stratan added that the leaders of the parties in the coalition knew about this situation and were talking with the concerned MPs.
