Snow removal works are being performed on the Donduseni – Edinet and Donduseni – Drochia – Pelenia roads. In Balti and Rascani, there were set up mobile food distribution points. Eight persons were accommodated at the kindergarten in Costesti village of Rascani district.
Seven villages in the districts of Sangerei, Cahul and Cimislia were still without electrical power in the morning of December 18.
In connection with the unfavorable weather conditions, the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service calls on the population not to travel along the public roads, especially towards the northern districts. If the trips cannot be avoided, the vehicles must be equipped with winter tires and chains for wheels. Those who remain blocked on the national or local roads should call 901.
