Most of the candidates or 36% pass the driving test to get a license as a result of three or more attempts, show statistics of the Public Services Agency for last year. 21.4% of the candidates become authorized drivers on the first attempt, while 23.2% on the second attempt, IPN reports.

Things concerning the theoretical exams, which are taken before the practical exams, stand better. 57% of the candidates pass the exam on the first attempt. There are yet three candidates who last year got a license on the 27th attempt, while sixth candidates on the 23th and 26th attempts.

The number of persons who apply for a license for driving only vehicles with automatic transmission has increased. From 300 such licenses issued in 2013, the figure rose to 7,736 at the end of 2020, as opposed to 4 954 licenses in 2019.

About 25,000 persons had a driving test last year. There were recorded 40 cases of annulment of the driver’s license for the reason that this was obtained illegally or that the person cheated on the exam.

The data were presented in a meeting centering on the modernization of the process of training and testing future drivers that was convened by decision makers.
