Soldier who raped minor to stand trial

The Balti Military Prosecutor’s Office sent the legal case started against the 18-year-old soldier who is suspected of raping a boy aged 13 to court, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to prosecutors, the soldier had had perverse sexual relations with the minor in December 2010 – October 2011. He has been under arrest since October, when the offense was discovered. When questioned by the prosecutors, the soldier admitted his guilt. Earlier, Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta told the press that the accused soldier did only two months of military service and was then hospitalized for being operated. He was then allowed to recover from his operation. He allegedly raped the minor in that period.
