The socioeconomic situation on the left side of the Nistru River continues to worsen and this situation is appropriate for reunifying the country, said experts from yesterday evening’s panel of the talk show “Fabrika” produced by Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

During a call-in, Ion Iovcev, director of the Romanian language lyceum “Lucian Blaga” based in Tiraspol, said it becomes harder to survive in the separatist region. “The shelves in stores are almost empty. The Transnistrian ruble depreciated a lot. Those who receive remittances from abroad stand in line at the banks in the Moldovan village Varnita so as to avoid the Transnistrian currency,” he stated.

Politician Valentin Krylov said there are possibilities of settling the Transnistrian dispute, but there are no skilled negotiators. “I didn’t see such negotiators either on the part of Chisinau or on the part of Tiraspol,” he stated.

Teacher Valeriu Cerba, police colonel in reserve, noted that Chisinau should lay emphasis on the talks with Moscow for resolving the Transnistrian dispute. “The key to the success of the talks with Tiraspol is in the Russian Federation. Chisinau should insist on the observance of the international law,” he stated.

Alexandru Zubco, a jurist of the Association “Promo-Lex”, said the situation in the breakaway republic of Transnistria is due to the unfair competition aimed at taking over economic influences. ”Chisinau has long waited for a crisis in Transnistria,” he stated.
