The agenda of the new round of Transnistrian conflict settlement talks in the 5+2 format includes mainly socioeconomic problems. The discussions will take place in Odessa on May 23-24. Vasile Magu, division head at the Reintegration Office, has told IPN that they will discuss the situation of the bank institutions and the foreign commercial activity of the Transnistrian companies, their relations with the ministries and the customs officers’ work.
The Moldovan delegation will be led by acting Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov. The delegation also includes representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the Reintegration Office.
In a number of meetings held earlier, the political representatives of the negotiating sides said they will discuss the dismantling of the non-functional ropeway over the Nistru River, which joins Rybnitsa and Rezina. It is in a deportable state and may fall down.
