Socially underprivileged students from suburbs to eat gratis at school

About 1,000 fifth-ninth graders from socially-underprivileged families who go to suburban schools will be fed free of charge at school in the second semester at school, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Chisinau City Hall, a sum of 570,000 lei is needed for the purpose, by 6.38 lei daily for every child. From 2012, the food ration for students from boarding schools, auxiliary schools, high schools and sports classes, special kindergartens and sanatorium groups for children suffering from tuberculosis, special kindergartens for children with mental and physical disabilities, and the general preschool institutions working round-the-clock was increased. Over 1.9 million lei is needed in this respect.
