Socially Disadvantaged Children to Benefit of Material Assistance

On the occasion of the International Children’s Days, celebrated on June 1, socially disadvantaged families with children will benefit of material support from the Republican Fund for Social Support of the Population, amounting to 2 million lei. 13008 invalid children up to 16 years, 2374 children which lost their nurturer, 1022 orphan children and 10425 families with more than 4 children will receive grants. At the same time, the home-like asylums, inclusively 5 of the Eastern districts, and will be distributed through the agency of local support funds of the population. At the same time, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection drawn up an action plan which was sent to the territorial subdivisions of social assistance and family protection together with recommendations arrange for activities for children and socially disadvantaged families at local level: to offer grants and presents, to organize charity meals, contests for children, different cultural actions.
