The Socialist MPs, indignant at the fact that they could not secure the support of two more MPs for their no-confidence motion against the Filip Government, intend to propose by a simple motion against each minister weekly. According to the leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon, each member of the Cabinet will thus have to render reports in Parliament, IPN reports.

“As I presumed, there is only one opposition group in the current legislature. The Communists said they are not ready to sign the no-confidence motion. The Liberal-Democrats also refused to sign it. We ascertain that only 24 Socialists want this government to leave. We are not afraid of early elections. We are ready to promote the request of the largest part of the population. Over 80% of the people want early legislative elections,” Igor Dodon said before the May 27 sitting of Parliament.

Staring with today, the Socialist parliamentary group will put forward by one simple motion against each minister. “Only 15 signatures are needed. We set the task of making each member of the Cabinet to come to Parliament with a report. Today we will register a simple motion and will demand the resignation of Corina Fusu (minister of education – e.n.),” said Igor Dodon.

The Socialist leader wondered who the Communists and Lib-Dems are afraid of when they criticize the government, but refuse to dismiss it by supporting a no-confidence motion.
