The Socialist parliamentary group drafted and registered a legislative initiative to amend and supplement the Law on the Entrepreneur’s Patent. This provides for the exclusion of the January 1, 2017 deadline by which the holders can work based on the entrepreneur’s patent. The bill was signed by the 24 Socialist MPs, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the Party of Socialists, following approaches made by business entities that work based on the entrepreneur’s patent, the Socialists worked out amendments with the aim of ensuring the continuity of the work of holders of the entrepreneur’s patent after the January 1, 2017 deadline.

The Socialists consider that if the law is not amended and work based on the entrepreneur’s patent is not allowed after January 1, 2017, the number of persons who will remain without a job will grow. Thus, the MPs consider the budget costs for paying unemployment benefit will also grow and more persons able to work will emigrate.
