Socialist MPs Ion Ceban and Vasile Bolea are suing the National Energy Regulatory Agency ANRE. In their complaint lodged today with the Riscani Sector Court, the MPs are requesting ANRE to revoke its decision to rise electricity and gas tariffs, IPN reports.
The Socialist Party is urging the members of the public upset by the higher tariffs to either sue ANRE on their own or join their class action.
On July 18, ANRE approved a rise in tariffs of 40% for electricity and 15% for gas.
