The Socialists continue to protest, this time at the Ministry of Health. They demand decreasing the prices of medicines in drugstores and supplying the hospitals with the necessary drugs and consumables, IPN reports.

MP Vlad Batrancea said the prices of drugs rose several times and the people with miserable pensions and benefits cannot buy them. The situation is critical. In some of the hospitals the people had to buy even thermometers to measure their temperature.

According to another protester, the people can no longer endure. They have to pay for health policy and then have to buy medicines. “The population is not provided with elementary medical assistance, but the politicians don’t care,” he stated.

Another protester said the health system experiences a shortage of drugs, but is also affected by corruption, which cannot be eliminated because of politicians’ interests.
