The Socialist parliamentary group will not attend the last siting of Parliament set for December 14. In a press briefing, Socialist MPs said they received the Government’s activity report that is to be presented in Parliament only an hour before the sitting and didn’t manage to examine it, IPN reports.

The president of the Party of Socialists Zinaida Grecheanyi said the report has 126 pages and the examination of the report is the first item on the agenda. In the course of this year, the Socialist parliamentary group repeatedly asked to invite Cabinet members to Parliament for questioning, but their requests were rejected. “What we have today is nothing but a false demonstration staged by the government,” stated Zinaida Grecheanyi.

Socialist MP Vlad Batrîncea said the presentation of the Government’s report is an arranged show. The intention was to prevent the MPs from familiarizing themselves with the document. It is too late for the Cabinet to come to Parliament as the electoral period already started. “This Government negatively assessed a number of social and economic initiatives of the Socialist parliamentary group and then presented the same bills that were adjusted as own initiatives,” he stated.

According to him, the Socialist MPs do not consider it necessary to attend today’s sitting of Parliament as they do not want to listen to the report of an anti-popular Government that will only boast.
