Social taxi for persons with disabilities

The Government plans to introduce a new service for the persons with disabilities in February – the social taxi. Victor Lutenco, adviser to Prime Minister Vlad Filat on social matters, has told Info-Prim Neo that a bus that incorporates a lift, intended for persons with locomotor disabilities, will be brought to Moldova in January. More similar purchases will be made in the future. The trips by the social taxi will be free of charge. The organizations working with persons with disabilities will set the schedule and itinerary of this bus. Those who want to use the bus will have to submit applications beforehand, indicating the date, hour and place where they want to go. There are about 20 organizations that work with persons with disabilities in the municipality of Chisinau.
