A social population support fund will be set up in Tiraspol. This will be managed by the local council and the municipal administration, IPN reports, quoting the local press.
The municipal authorities of Tiraspol said this fund should be an open one and with transparent financial activity. “The word ‘fund’ must stop to be nominal and there should be no questions about it similar to those relating to the charity fund “Miloserdie” (“Mercy”), which helped many people, but didn’t ensure transparency in the use of fund,” said Mayor of Tiraspol Oleg Dovgopol.
According to the mayor, the city council, municipal administration and the mass media should have equal access to information about the allocations into this fund and the costs covered by it.
