Victor Selin was summoned on Monday to appear before the Prosecutor General's Office on a case involving trespassing, for which the president of the Social-Democratic Party faces a fine or administrative arrest.
Radion Bordian, the prosecutor handling the case, told Info-Prim Neo that a number of witnesses and persons involved in the case have been heard, but no final decision has been taken.
On October 18, assisted by a group of Communist MPs, Victor Selin forced his way into the Palace of the Republic, where Parliament sits, in spite of a ban imposed on him by Speaker Marian Lupu. The prohibition was imposed after Selin spoke to the public from a platform displaying the Parliament's insignia, without being authorized to do so.
