Snow hampers movement on Chisinau streets

There is traffic congestion on almost all the streets in Chisinau owing to the heavy snow and the layer of snow that settles on the roadway, Info-Prim Neo reports. The head of the Chisinau Public Transport and Communications Division Adrian Boldurescu Monday said that 20 special vehicles worked on the streets of the capital city yesterday evening. There were spread over 600 tonnes of antiskid material. The snow removal teams continue to work. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca instructed the divisions in charge to work nonstop and asked the traffic police to accompany the snowplows. Weather forecasters issued a yellow code advisory for February 13-17. There will be snow, even heavy in some parts of the country. The wind will intensify to 15-20 m/s.
