Snow cleanup continues in Chisinau

About 500 workers of the municipal cleanup services went out to clean the snow from the Chisinau streets and in front of apartment buildings. Fourteen special vehicles and seven tractors have been engaged in snow removal works, deputy head of the Public Amenities Division Simion Roman has told Info-Prim Neo.
Veaceslav Tarna, the head of the General Public Transport and Communications Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that 62 snowplows have worked on the Chisinau roads this morning and spread anti-skid material on the main streets.
As many as 250 trolleybuses, 96 buses and 1,600 minibuses are now transporting passengers along routes. “There have been no problems and complications,” Veaceslav Tarna said.
In a communiqué, the Chisinau City Hall says the cleanup services worked round the clock to remove the snow from streets. There have been spread over 1,000 cubic meters of antiskid material.
