The participants in transfrontier traffic are urged to avoid the customs posts “Giurgiulești-Reni” for a period as the heavy snowfalls blocked the access way to this, IPN reports.
The Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova said the competent authorities are taking measures to unblock the access way to the given border crossing point. The other customs posts work as usual.
The State Hydrometeorological Service issued an orange code warning for difficult elements in southern and central Moldova and a yellow code advisory for northern Moldova for January 27-28. There will be heavy snow and sleet and even snowstorms with snowdrift in parts. The wind is expected to intensify to 15-20 m/s. A layer of ice will form on roads.
