Smoking in bed has caused another death

A person has fallen victim to a fire. The man aged 64, native of Pohoarna village, Soldanesti raion, died in bed due to a fire caused by a lit cigarette. According to the Emergency Situations Department, three rooms and all the goods inside them have been damaged by fire. The man has died of suffocation. The house of a 35-year-old man, native of Buda village, Calarasi raion, burst into flames because he did not use the stove properly. The flames have damaged the material goods in two rooms, and the owner suffered multiple burns of III degree. Eight fires were registered in Moldova the last weekend. As many as 2295 fires, which resulted in 208 dead persons, including 13 children, have been reported since the beginning of the year.
