Smocking in bed kills again

Two persons lost their lives on Wednesday in a fire caused by smoking cigarettes in bed.
According to the Department for Emergency Situations (DSE), the casualty happened in Rezina. At 5.40 am a lit cigarette in the house no.111 on Lomonosov Street caused a fire which killed two persons aged 67 and 59. The fire has also scorched some of the goods in house.
Children playing with fire yesterday in the afternoon destroyed a building of a family in Ulmu, Ialoveni raion. The house of about 80 sq. m has burnt down. The damage reaches MDL 60.000.
Yesterday, in Chisinau, because of some dry grass that caught fire and windy weather, 6 hectares of orchard and 4 hectares of vineyard burned. The cause and the damage are now being calculated.
According to DSE, over the last 24 hours, 23 fire crews with 115 firefighters were engaged in extinguishing fires.
