Small grants for NGOs from five districts

The Balti-based public association “Pro Regional Cooperation” has announced a contest of small grants for nongovernmental organizations working in rural areas in the districts of Drochia, Rascani, Falesti, Sangerei, and Glodeni, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communique from the association, the grants of at most 20,000 lei will be given to the NGOs that will present projects aimed at encouraging the young people to take part in community life and at increasing their chances of finding employment. The target group includes persons aged between 14 and 20 who are from socially underprivileged families, face family problems and whose parents went to work abroad. The projects will be selected according to a number of criteria, including the impact on the community, ensuring of the sustainability and continuity of the project activities after the allocated money is used up, partnership relations with the local public administration, other institutions and organizations in the community, etc. The project will last for nine months. The deadline for applications is February 25. The applications for financing can be submitted to the head office of the public association “Pro Regional Cooperation” in Balti.
