The MP of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Alexandru Slusari said they have started to collect signatures in favor of calling an extraordinary sitting of Parliament that will center on the Chisinau International Airport. A number of 34 signatures are needed for the purpose and 26 signatures were already collected. The Prime Minister, head of the Information and Society Service, chief of the National Anticorruption Center, prosecutor general and minister of justice will be invited to present reports in the extraordinary meeting, IPN reports.
“We should clarify the situation and, depending on the developments, will act further – no-confidence motion, protests – everything is possible,” Slusari stated in the talk show “Shadow Cabinet” on Jurnal TV channel.
The MP noted it is absolutely clear that Moldova’s security is in danger. “We want the issue to be examined as soon as possible and the legal status of the airport to be decided. For us, there is no other solution than annulling the concession contract. This contract was concluded with serious violations, at a closed contest, by keeping this airport tax,” he said.
Socialist MP Grigore Novac said the same Ilan Shor and Vladimir Plahotniuc are involved in the new scheme at the Chisinau International Airport and he says this based on concrete information he possesses. “This citizen of the Russian Federation Andrey Goncharenko was at the back and is now at the front. The former owner Nat Rothschild hasn’t yet realized what he ventured into,” he stated.
On December 23, the press reported that Russian businessman Andrey Goncharenko became the new beneficiary of Komaksavia Airport Invest” Ltd that owns 95% of Avia-Invest – the manager of the Chisinau International Airport – after NR Investment Limited conceded control over the company.
