A six-year-old child who was injured last night on a street in Cahul municipality died shortly afterward at the Cahul District Hospital, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate (GPI) said that the boy was jaywalking when he was struck by a car driven by a 39-year-old man. The police have not yet specified whether or not the child was accompanied by someone.
According to the GPI, the man holds a driving license corresponding to the vehicle category. He was given a breath alcohol test and the result was negative.
