Six more companies to benefit from Polish loan

Six more Moldovan companies will obtain financing from the assistance loan provided by the Government of Poland. Companies’ applications for financing will be approved by the Supervisory Board of the Loan Implementation Unit. The companies will benefit from about €9.4 million overall, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Economy,”Sunworld” wil get over €4.1 million for building a vegetable drying factory, “Proterm Grup” – €1.9 million for constructing a hydroponic greenhouse, while “Moldova Zahar” – over €1.1 million for modernizing the juice filtering station.

Also, “Balcom Agro Grup” will receive over €972,000 for building a cold storage facility and a packing house with a sorting line, “Vergecom” – about €600,000 for setting up an abattoir and a market hall at the pork farm, while a group of business entities – approximately €740,000 for purchasing six combines.

So far the Supervisory Board of the Loan Implementation Unit accepted the applications for financing of ten companies.

Poland offered Moldova an assistance loan of €100 million, 90% of which is intended for agriculture. The lending agreement was signed on May 14, 2014. The loan will be repaid in 40 equal semiannual consecutive installments at an interest rate of 0.15%, after a grace period of five years of the utilization of the money.
