Six members of Supervisory Board of “Teleradio Moldova” will be replaced this year

The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) has announced a contest to fill six posts of member of the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio Moldova”. The announcement was made today, but will take effect when it is published in the Official Gazette, IPN reports.

In the BCC’s October 24 meeting, the Council’s chairman Marian Pocaznoi said that 12 candidates will be initially selected fro these posts. Their applications and CVs will be examined by the parliamentary commission on culture, education, youth and mass media, which will then choose the six members of the Supervisory Board who will be later confirmed by Parliament.

The posts will fall vacant on December 23, when the terms in office of the Board’s head Aurelia Peru Balan and members Viorica Cucereanu, Raisa Lozinschi, Eugeniu Rybka, Vitalie Tapes and Viorica Mesina Prodan expire. Viorica Mesina Prodan already resigned a month ago.

The applicants must be Moldovans with higher education in cinematography, journalism, law, financial management, international relations, and engineering; know the official language and do not have a criminal record. They must also have a length of service of at least five years in the area of activity.
