Six candidates for mayor of Cahul registered as contenders

Six candidates for mayor of Cahul have so far been registered as election runners. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, head of the Cahul city electoral council Elena Daud said the PCRM’s candidate Petru Burlacu, who is now district councilor, tops the list in ballots. He is followed by another district councilman, Axentie Ion, of the PPCD. The third position is taken by the candidate of the PNL. The PDM’s candidate Ghenadie Caprita, who is a doctor by profession, comes fourth in the ballot. The last two candidates are district councilor Ion Butmalai, of the PLDM, and Mihail Trofim, of the PL, who heads the Cahul Service for Combating Economic Crime and Corruption.
