The economic situation in the Transuranic region hasn’t improved. On the contrary, it has worsened as a result of the external pressure. Such statements were made by the region’s self-styled minister of social protection and labor Oxana Bulanova in a meeting with residents of Camenca district. She noted that 3 billion rubles is needed annually for paying social welfare, but the incomes that will be collected into the region’s budget this year are projected to total only 1.4 billion rubles, IPN reports.
The Transnistrian press reported that the local administration makes approaches for the industrial production from the left side of the Nistru to be sold in Russia. Oxana Bulanova said a number of agreements were reached for the production of the Camenca cannery and of the company Electromash to be exported to Russia.
Besides putting questions concerning the payment of debts to pensioners and budget-funded employees, the participants in the meeting suggested that the Transnistrian administration should no longer finance a number of activities and allocate money for the road fund, but should use these finances to pay social welfare.
