The Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union will exchange views on the Republic of Moldova on February 26. It will focus among others on the implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), the EU’s engagement with the country and future perspectives ahead of the next parliamentary elections, IPN reports, with reference to the Council’s website.
The foreign ministers may also discuss the country’s role in the Eastern Partnership and engagement in the field of security. The Council will adopt conclusions on the Republic of Moldova after the debate.
The Foreign Affairs Council meets once a month and is made up of European Union Member State Ministers responsible for Foreign Affairs, Defense and Development.
