Prime Minister Dorin Recean said the situation in the Republic of Moldova is stable and peaceful and the Reintegration Bureau manages to also align the left side of the Nistru to the relevant objectives, IPN reports.
The statements were made after the administration of the Transnistrian region asserted that they foiled a “terrorist” attempt on the Transnistrian leader’s life. The Premier noted that the constitutional authorities haven’t confirmed something like this and there are no dangers that the situation in the region will escalate.
Dorin Recean noted that the Government makes effort to ensure stability and peace and to cope with the existing challenges. The public institutions showed that they can intervene and prevent any destabilization attempt in any part of the Republic of Moldova.
The administration in Tiraspol announced that they thwarted a terrorist attempt on the life of the Transnistrian leader and his family. The chief negotiator of Tiraspol Vitaly Igantiev said that approaches will be made to the Ukrainian authorities for them to provide explanations over this incident. He also said that they will call on the participants in the 5+2 talks not to allow escalations or tensions.
